I’m K.T. Sargent, and I write fantasy and sci-fi novels with a serious dose of steamy romance and adventure (I favor RH, tbh).

Welcome to my crib.

I grew up with books being some of my best friends. Of course, I have human best friends too, but they would prefer that I not discuss their ins and outs with strangers as I’m inclined to do with Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Katniss Everdeen, Zoey Redbird, and my other fictional favorites.

Turning my love of reading into a practical career, I became a teacher, a position which allowed me to teach The Lightning Thief, collecting more future campers for Uncle Rick on the down-low.

However, recently my imagination has been flourishing with intriguing characters and landscapes, and overflowing with stories that are begging to be told. Upon realizing the calling as an author, I ventured forth into the world of writing.

You, dear reader, have stumbled upon me at the beginning of my career when the glimpses of badass heroines, smoldering heroes, and wonderous magical worlds are still floating in the aether, just waiting for me to snatch them down onto the page.

A little bit more about me personally: I devour books like candy, and I consume candy like it’s oxygen. Actually, I adore food in general. I love learning about the world (and beyond) through travel and podcasts, as well as TV and movies. I’m a fan of multiple genres, but primarily fantasy and science fiction, as you’ve probably guessed. Though, I’m a bit of a sucker for a B-list action movie.

I also enjoy hiking and learning about animals, and nature in general. I have a border collie who’s slowly turning into a crotchety old man, and I’m currently living in Chicago, in the U.S., though I’m originally from Florida 🙂
